I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. I grew up in the Coral Gables and Miami Shores areas of then Dade County.
I received my B.A. degree from the University of Miami and my law degree (JD) in 1974 from Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida.
I practiced with several firms in the Miami area until 1985 when I formed my own firm: Law Offices of Frederick A. Gunion, Jr.
The practice has concentrated primarily on civil trial work, with special emphasis upon representation of injured persons and their families. Medical malpractice related injuries became a special focus of the practice as of approximately 1990.
Although I am technically a sole practitioner, there are numerous lawyers, nurses and physicians who work with me on every case.
My associates and I all practice in all Florida courts, as well as the Federal court system.
